PESA & TESA

PESA & TESA

PESA (Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) and TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration) are techniques used to retrieve sperm in men who have little or no sperm, a condition called azoospermia. These procedures are often used in fertility treatments, such as IVF (In Vitro Fertilization)..

Our Procedure for PESA & TESA Will Include:

    PESA(Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration):

  • PESA is a simple, minimally invasive procedure where sperm is collected directly from the epididymis which is a tube that stores and transports sperm from the testes.
  • A fine needle is inserted through the skin into the epididymis.
  • The collected sperm is then examined and used for IVF or other fertility treatments.
  • TESA(Testicular Sperm Aspiration):

  • TESA is used when sperm can't be retrieved from the epididymis, so it's collected directly from the testicle.
  • A fine needle is inserted through the skin into the testicle.
  • A small amount of tissue or fluid is aspirated to extract sperm.
  • The Sperm retrieved is used for IVF or other fertility treatments.
